Exercises for Sciatica and Back Pain

Sciatica refers to pain that radiates along the path of your sciatic nerve, which branches from your lower back at L1-S1, goes through your hips and buttocks, and down each leg. Next Tuesday we will be talking about what causes this and what you can do to help manage and prevent it.

Our June workshop is coming up NEXT Tuesday June 11. We will begin with a short anatomy and physiology review, where Dr. Karo will explain how your lumbar spine works, and how it integrates with your hips and lower extremities.

Afterwards we will get interactive, and go through some of the foundational exercises for improving the function of your lower back and hips.

Wear athletic type clothing that you can move freely in.

RSVP below. Space is limited, but friends and family are always welcome!

The Opioid Crisis and Chiropractic

The opioid epidemic is a serious problem and we are proud to be a part of the solution. Before you turn to pain medication, find out if Neuro-Structural chiropractic can help you.

I am sure you have all heard about the opioid epidemic that the US is facing, but did you know that chiropractic care can be a part of the solution? In fact, "adults receiving treatment for low back pain are 55% less likely to fill a prescription for an opioid if they are receiving chiropractic care." That is a big number!  Check out this article in Boss Magazine by Dr. Sherry McAllister of which talks more about how chiropractic care offers drug-free solutions.

And when you have a friend or family member looking to pain prescriptions for relief, have them give us a call, we would love to help.

Normal Structure is NOT an Option

We all know that the human body has a normal temperature, a normal blood pressure, and normal eyesight, but most of us are unaware that there is also a normal when it comes to the structural alignment of the spine.

What would happen if there were a shift from the normal alignment of your automobile? How about a shift in your home’s foundation? If your spine shifts from its normal structural alignment, the result may be a variety of secondary conditions (symptoms) such as neck and back pain, headaches, pinched nerves, sciatica, numbness/tingling — just to name a few.

Restoring and protecting your body’s normal structural alignment is a key factor in maintaining optimal health and wellness.
